Questionnaire

Today I have made a questionnaire to give to people who have watched the short film sequence. I have asked six questions, and will be giving the questionnaires to six people. I have asked the following questions:

- Which parts they liked most and why?
- What genre they think it is and why?
- Does the sound fit what is happening and how?
- How does it look like the opening of a film?
- Who they think the target audience is?
- What improvements they would make?

What I have done in today's lesson

Today I have finally put my music onto my short film, by saving the audio from GarageBand onto iTunes, and then putting it onto Final Cut Express. The editing of my short film is now finished and complete with the title sequences, the filming and the audio.

What I did in today's lesson

In today's lesson I edited the footage I re-filmed last week, and I decided which bits I wanted and which bits I didn't want. I am nearly finished, I just need to put my music on my short film.

Uploading my Footage and what I did in today's lesson

I had a problem when I was uploading the footage that I filmed last Thursday. I thought that it hadn't filmed, and that it wasn't on my tape, however I found it and my problem was resolved. In today's lesson I have uploaded my re-filming, and next lesson I will begin editing the new footage.

Storyboard and Short Film Problem

My storyboard of my short film, is slightly different to my actual short film. On the storyboard, I have got the part where the main character is waiting at the bus stop, and the part where she takes a short cut and the abductor jumps out in front of her. However I do not have the part where she wakes up in the abductor's house and is confronted by the abductor.

Re-filming

I am going to be re-filming a part of my short film on Thursday 8th March. It is the part where the main character is walking through the alleyway shortcut, and the abductor jumps out in front of her. The reason I have to re-film this part, is because it is simply too dark to see what is happening in this part of the film. I am going to ensure I do not leave it to get too late to film it, so it won't be too dark again. One risk of this though, is that the re-filming of this part may look lighter than the rest of the outside scenes, if this is so then I will possibly have to use lighting, as there are no street lights around because I am filming in an alleyway.

Music for my Film

I have begun to put music on my short film. My choice is a piece of music on GarageBand called Ambient Noise Effect 12, which sounds eerie and spooky, and would make the audience feel on the edge of their seat. Although I need a piece of music which is roughly six to seven seconds long, and the piece of music on GarageBand is sixteen seconds long, and if I was to cut it, it wouldn't sound the same and have the same scariness effect on the audience. An alternative thing to do is to create a short piece of music on a keyboard, which can be connected to GarageBand. This would be easier because I know how long the piece of music would have to be.
